About

In 1988 he graduated from the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Leningrad State University named after A.A. Zhdanov. In 1988-1995 he worked at the Humboldt University of Berlin, teaching in the Department of Iranian Studies. In 1993-1997 he carried out linguistic research in Northern Pakistan. From 1997 to 2002 he worked as a Delegate for the International Committee of the Red Cross. After completing his post-graduate studies at the Iranian Studies Department of Yerevan State University in 2014, he defended his doctoral thesis on "Language and Linguistic Environment of Pashtun Migrants in the Northern Areas of Pakistan". Since 2023 he has been teaching at the Russian-Armenian (Slavic) University, giving courses on Iranian Studies. He is the author of two monographs and several academic articles.
