About

Tsovinar Kirakosian joined the Institute of Oriental Studies at Russian-Armenian University in 2019. She holds a BA Degree in Oriental Studies from Yerevan State University (2014) and an MA Degree in Political Science and International Affairs from the American University of Armenia (AUA) (2017). In 2024, she completed her doctoral studies at the Institute of Oriental Studies at RAU, specializing in Ethnography.
Ms. Kirakosian teaches courses on  Modern Turkish Language, Theoretical Grammar of the Turkish Language and Ethnography of Turkic Peoples. Her scholarly pursuit is focused on the ethnoreligious makeup of the Republic of Turkey, with an emphasis on the relationships among ethnicity, religion, and cultural dynamics. From 2019 to 2022, she served as an editor of the international academic journal Iran and the Caucasus (Brill: Leiden-Boston).
