About

Kristine Kostikyan was born in 1971. She graduated from The State University of Yerevan, faculty of Oriental Studies, department of Iranian Studies. She received her PhD degree in historical sciences after defended her thesis “The Work “Tarikh-e Safi” of Mirza Yusuf Nersesov as a source of history of Karabagh in XVIII-XIX centuries. In 2018 defended her thesis “The Persian Documents of XVII-XIX centuries of the Matenadaran as sources of history of Armenians” and received the degree of Doctory of History. She is the author of several monographies, research articles and has taken part in many international conferences. From 1996 up to now she works in the Institute of Oriental Studies, NAS RA, from 2004 is senior researcher at Mashtots Matenadaran. From 2008 she is a lecturer in the Faculty of History YSU, RA, from 2021 works also in the Institute of Oriental Studies, RAU.
